The regulation sets stricter requirements for how both public and private organisations process and store personal data.<br>Its purpose is to strengthen individual rights and ensure greater transparency and security in the handling of personal data.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">What does \u00c5kirkeby Medical Center do?<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">As a healthcare provider, we take data security seriously.<br>\u00c5kirkeby Medical Center has developed and implemented internal procedures for how personal data is stored, used and protected. We have:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Entered into data processing agreements with relevant partners (both private and public) where data is exchanged<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Prepared an IT security policy that ensures a high level of protection against unauthorised access and data theft<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Established instructions for handling security breaches so we can respond quickly and correctly if something unexpected happens<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Prepared a privacy policy for patients that clearly describes how we process your information in accordance with applicable law<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">What does this mean for you as a patient?<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">As a patient, you will not notice changes in your day-to-day contact with the clinic.<br>Your personal data continues to be handled with professionalism, respect and confidentiality.
