Starting in December 2026, all medical records from General Practice (your primary care physician) must be shared with the patient and other relevant healthcare professionals via the Min Læge app and sundhed.dk. The rationale behind this includes, among other things, the desire for seamless patient care across sectors and an EU directive aimed at strengthening patients’ understanding of their own care and patient safety.
Åkirkeby Medical Center is participating in a pilot project on this topic along with approximately 20 other medical clinics in Denmark.
Medical records will therefore be available to patients after midnight on the day they were in contact with the clinic. No medical notes are created for routine prescription renewals of non-addictive medications; in such cases, the information will only appear in your own medication profile.
The pilot project is expected to begin in week 13 and will last 3 weeks.
