From the authorities:
There has been a data breach in which unauthorized individuals gained access to a large amount of information from the CPR system, including names, addresses, and CPR numbers.
Therefore, this information can no longer be relied upon on its own when verifying a person’s identity.
Effective October 12, 2026:
-Scheduling/canceling appointments: No changes
-Renewal of regular medication (unchanged dose and quantity): This will require an additional check-up, possibly an in-person visit, during which valid identification must be presented.
-Providing personalized health advice based on medical records: Additional verification will be required; you may be asked to come in person and bring valid identification.
-Providing test results, diagnoses, or medical record information: Can only be done during an in-person consultation, where valid identification must be presented. Email consultations or video consultations where the patient is the sender.
-New medication / changes to medication or high-risk medications: Can only be done during an in-person consultation, where valid identification must be presented. Email consultation or video consultation where the patient is the sender.
